Description
mid 19th century, 157 x 116 cm, Central Anatolia

A Mujur prayer rug featuring a red mihrab field, a stepped triangular arch and a rare design in the upper section of the field. The wide border consists of a number of bands in different designs. Carnations and tulips are arranged diagonally in the yellow main border.

Slight signs of age and wear, restored upper right corner, corroded brown, both ends somewhat reduced.
