Item Details
Description
A 1950s archtop guitar, maker unknown, no serial number, black finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Part of a larger collection of mid-century archtop guitars.

Difficult to identify conclusively, but appears to be Framus or Hopf in origin. Three-piece maple neck with decorative white-and-black headstock overlay, a 21-fret ebony fretboard with large block inlays, black-finished body with a spruce top and maple back and sides, multi-ply binding throughout, and bound catseye sound holes. Harp tailpiece, adjustable ebony bridge.

Includes black soft-shell case.
