Description
Adie Brothers, Ltd., Birmingham, England. Sterling silver tea set including two teapots, a creamer, one covered sugar bowl, and one two-handled bowl. Each stamped along the underside with lion passant, city mark, maker mark, and date letters between 1950-1956. The underside of the smaller pot marked "Period Queen Anne Circa 1709."
Provenance: Stanton L. Catlin, former director of the Center for Inter-American Relations; thence by descent.
Height ranges from 3 in to 11 in; width ranges from 4 in to 9 in; depth ranges from 3 in to 5 1/2 in. Gross weight of sterling (including two wood-handled pots): 64.52 Troy oz.
