Description
Robert-Houdin Double Mystery Clock. Circa 1845. A “double” or “Series 3” mystery clock designed by Robert-Houdin featuring a glass dial in a gilt bezel with a single hand at its center, the dial supported by a clear glass tube above a gilt wooden and brass base. Floral supports join the column to the dial concealing the driving gears, and four griffin heads support the base of the clear tube. Inscribed “Robert-Houdin Paris.” 19 x 5” on a gilt base 6 ½ x 6 ½”. With key. Detailed condition report available on request. Third party shipping required.
