Large Neoclassical-style gilt bronze and marble figural mantel clock, late 19th/early 20th century, after Jacques Antoine Theodore Coinchon (French, 1814-1881), modeled as the philosopher Aristotle seated next to symbols of his school teaching (math, geography, etc.) above the clock face with Roman numerals, all raised on a blue sodalite plinth base. [17 1/2" H x 23 1/4" W x 8" D]. Lacking pendulum.
