J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - 1890's. The sports theme, vivid colors and dynamic action all contribute to its wide popular appeal. Place a coin in the pitcher's hand and cock his arm into position. Press the lever and watch him pitch underhanded to the batter. The batter swings and misses. The coin sails by him and deflects off the chest protector of the catcher, dropping into the bank. Can't you hear the umpire yelling, "Yer out!"
