5.20.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 4079: I note that the clock is presently intact and structurally sound, from a physical examination, the scroll element on the right side of the clock face is slightly loose, the ormolu exhibits patination, minute pitting, and some light surface wear such as sparse, minute nicks, there are a couple minor chips to the glass cover over the face, and the enamel exhibits typical minor pitting and a small isolated areas of hairline near the lower edge of cartouche, functionally, the chime striker is not operating, the clock keeps time and was observed operating for thirty minutes
