05.16.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 4409: I note that both figures and pedestals are presently intact, with the figure sitting comfortably upon the latter, a previous owner has secured removable fishing line to the waist of each figure to further secure them to pedestal, one of the figures has a visible glue restoration to the top of the crossbow, and there are some typical minute chips, such as to the tip of the cattail sculpted next to one figures’ waist, we believe the figures to be of the Art Nouveau period (c. 1900), but are unable to verify if the pedestals are also of the period due to the inability to examine underfoot because of their large scale, the pedestals exhibit typical minor chips and hairlines of varying degrees, and there are small seams located at the rim of the top of both pedestals, they do not seem to be hairlines as my fingernail does not get caught in the seam, but I am unsure of their origin, as well as there being sparse typical restorations to sculpted flower elements, including areas of inpainting
