Description
Silvered bronze. Circular, 22.3mm, 0.88", narrow outer edge, pierced with a cross potent, i.e. with "crutches" at the beam ends and a diamond at the center. That form is also known as the Crusader's cross, having been an element in the arms of Godfrey of Bouillon which he wore during the First Crusade. He was the King of Jerusalem. For that reason, it is also known as the Jerusalem Cross. Well-crafted and preserved. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored, on an 18” Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Actual pendant worn by a Crusader 900 years ago! Purchases of one or more ancient jewelry lots (that have $13 flat shipping prices) will only cost $13 in total combined shipping. •Celtic Roman Viking Medieval Norse Scandinavian ancient ring bracelet necklace
