Item Details
Description
Early 1800s. Porcupine quill covered coil work. 2 3/4" diameter, domed form with dropped lip to make it stand out. The center with hide nub which probably held a hair tuft originally. Well used and sound with one segment of the edge, about 1/2" long, lacking the quill wrap and slightly frayed. Untouched and probably pre-contact.
