Two Makonde Helmet Masks, Lipiko Tanzania, c. 20th century One with hair, the head painted tan with black in the incised scarification marks; the other blackened, raised scarification marks, wearing a two part hat, remains of some hair at back, traces of white pigment at the eyes.
