Description
Litter from Lucille Ball, dated September 30, 1954, and written to Joanne Perez, the wife of Papito the Spanish clown. Appeared in the pilot episode of I Love Lucy and was credited for helping Lucy and Desi develop their 1950 vaudeville show. In the letter Lucy writes have your two cake plates here at the studio, so when you come up next to see the show please remind me so that I can give to you. Let her also offers an apology for not being able to get Lucy up to a dancing lesson. Joanne Perez was a ballet dancer and teacher. Also included here is a vintage 8 x 10 Photograph of Lucille Ball with her toddler daughter Lucy, and Joanne stand students. Envelope is addressed to Mrs. Joanne Perez, 1401 N., Santa Ana, California. Return address on backside of envelope simply reads Arnez, Chatsworth, California. Some damage the envelope. Letter, envelope, and photograph originally obtained from the state of Joanne Perez.
