The crucifixion group, which comes from a private household in Einsiedeln, shows the cross rising above Christ's tomb. At the foot of the cross are Mary and the Apostle John. Directly on the cross, Mary Magdalene mourns. The work is very finely executed and is certainly the work of a very good carver.
