Description
An American Sheraton Birdseye Maple Gentleman's Traveling Shaving Case, First Half 19th Century. The hinged top enclosing an open interior above a drawer fitting with a small hinged shaving mirror, over a small drawer fitted for straight razors, sunken panel sides, raised on turned feet. Comprising an associated English ironstone shaving mug; two shaving brushes; and seven straight shaving razors. Razors to include 'Wade & Butcher', 'Hamburg Ground', 'William Greaves & Sons', 'W.H. Sample'; and others.
Dimensions: Height 10 1/4in; width 12 1/2in; depth 9 1/2in.

Condition
The top and right side, with a full width age crack. Shrinkage and small losses throughout. Toning to brass hardware overall. The mirror with a full break and loss to silvering. No key.
