Description
A Hunterdon County, New Jersey Girlhood Silk on Linen Alphabet Needlework Sampler, Union School, Trenton, Dated 1810. Wrought by Hanna Hayden (1796-1870).
Having nine rows of alphabets in uppercase, lowercase and script. Inscribed below "Hannah Hayden Union School Trenton May 28 1810".
All within an undulating strawberry, rose bud and vine border. In a 19th century veneered frame.
Dimensions: Sight 15 3/4Â x 16 1/4in; Frame 18 3/4 x 19 1/2in.
