Description
An extremely fine and rare three-part altar table in "lau-huali" (old rosewood), consisting of a solid slab top resting on two square tiered pedestals, each with a one drawer - the lower tiers decorated with lingxi fungus carving. Provenance: Certificate of Antiquity from Charlotte Horstmann & Gerald Godfrey, Ltd., signed by Gerald Godfrey. Dimensions: H 35.75" x W 96.5" x D 17". Condition: Beautiful patina and honey tone throughout. Table presents very well; likely restored. A few minor stress cracks to top, including two filled cracks to one edge. A few scratches and scuffs.
