Description
A Pennsylvania Late Chippendale Figured Walnut Card Table, Late 18th Century. The rectangular overhanging top above a frieze drawer and apron molding to front and sides, pierced corner brackets, raised on square tapered legs, ending in small block feet. Tulip poplar drawer sides and bottom.
Dimensions: Height closed 30in; height open 29in; width 35 3/4in; depth closed 18 3/4in; depth open 37 1/2in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Structurally sound. There is old spliced restoration to the top of back left mortise of flying leg where it receives the flying rail tenon. The back right leg with a small restoration to top of mortise and tenon joint. The top with small lozenge shape patch toward the front.
