A Florida Highwayman work depicting a windy beach tropical landscape with the silhouette of a palm tree adorned with Spanish moss, set against the orange-red golden hues of a "Fire Sky" sunrise or sunset. Painted in the style of the 20th-century Indian River School and its founder, Albert (Beanie) Backus (1906-1990), who assisted in the foundation of the Florida Highwaymen movement. Signed lower right. Presented in a rustic wood frame.
