A Kamba Maternity Figure Kenya, c. late 19th early 20th century Blackened wood with circular aluminum bits at eyes. Robustly carved in volumes, she sits on a traditional three-legged stool, holding an infant in her arms. She has an oversized head with soft facial features and swept back coiffure.
