Description
A Superb Mezcala Figure Guerrero, Mexico, c. 300-100 BC A classic type scholars refer to as M-14, characterized by openwork arms, and a massive head with round crown, pointed chin, and grooves indicating ears, mouth, and nose. This has unique features including a protruding brow with three notches at middle, a raised short skirt or wide belt at waist with a notch at its middle. Carved from a speckled greenish brown stone with a high polish. In excellent condition. A masterpiece of its type. Note: Accompanied by the original Certificate of Authenticity signed by Harry A.
