A vintage Diving Amplifier Equipment sound control module by Audio Equipment Co for the U.S Navy Department, produced circa the mid-20th Century. It features a rectangular industrial body, with the front panel displaying a series of 11 dials and switches, each labeled for its purpose and function. A metal plate is affixed to the front, marked DIVING AMPLIFIER EQUIPMENT TYPE 957 SYSTEM SERIAL 172, with additional printed details. Operating instructions and warning placards are affixed to opposing sides, with dual metal (non-steel) handles attached for ease of placement in a rack. Additionally, a large claxon-style speaker is affixed to the top. The module comes with a large steel safety deposit-style lockbox, featuring dual handles on the sides and containing approximately 30+ accessories, including fuses, resistors, tubes, a speaker element, and other parts, all in closed paper packaging with handwritten descriptions on top. The lockbox measures approximately 8" x 19" x 16".

Condition: Good overall vintage condition having mild age related surface wear and patina. Accessories in good vintage condition, excepting those still sealed in their packaging, which have not been opened or examined. Lockbox has mild to moderate surface wear, verdigris, oxidation, and patina. Estate fresh to the market.
