Stunning Henredon dining suite, consisting of a rare oval extension dining table designed by Barbara Barry, featuring black lacquered wood construction with macassar ebony finish and gold stenciled diamond motifs at the top - together with (6) model "Laurent" dining chairs (2 armchairs and 4 side chairs), bearing Neoclassical Klismos-inspired silhouettes with espresso-finished frames and woven gold fabric upholstery. Includes (2) inset table leaves. Each chair is labeled "Henredon" underneath; one table leaf is also labeled. c. Late 20th Century. Dimensions: (Table, without leaves) H 30.75" x W 89.75" x D 44" ; (Leaf) W 22". (Armchair) H 36" x W 24" x D 24" x SH 19" Condition: Grouping presents well overall. Table with some crazing to clear varnish; scratches and scuffs to top surface. A few nicks and dings to chair frames, spots of minor soiling to fabric. One armchair withg glue residue to back seat rail and small house paint drips to backrest. Wear consistent with age and use.
