An early 1960s Hofner 496 Jumbo acoustic guitar in sunburst finish, no serial number. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. The guitar is in very good condition.

The Hofner 496 has a smaller jumbo-style body not unlike the Gibson J-185 in size. The tuners wear large, floral pearloid buttons, a laminated pearloid and brown nut with zero fret, and tulip inlays. The headstock and neck have multi-ply pearloid binding, bow tie inlays on the ebony 22 fret fingerboard.

Sunburst-finished spruce top, flamed maple back and sides. The body has multi-ply binding, an ebony bridge, and pearloid tulip-inlaid pickguard as well as a similar embellishment on the top at the lower strap button location.

Includes TKL soft-shell case.
