We have been buying and selling original posters for over twenty years. In 1984, we became one of the first auction houses to specialize in poster-only auctions. We held our first auction 1984 in Germany (J�rg Weigelt Auktionen). Since then, we have published over 68 catalogs for our German sales alone. In 1995, we established an outlet in the San Francisco Bay Area where we have been conducting our U.S. auctions (PosterConnection, Inc.). The posters in our auctions always come from a wide array of subject areas and have dated from as early as the 1850s through contemporary classics from the 1990s. While most of our catalogs present a mixed bag of international posters related to advertising, travel, art & culture and propaganda, we have published specialized catalogs in the areas of film, rock & roll, military & politics, photography and books & ephemera. All of our U.S. catalogs (and all German catalogs after auction 36) have been published in full-color and the highest printing quality. Catalogs are available in full for online viewing. In 2000, we were the first to allow live online participation in poster auctions. You can now participate in our San Francisco sales live in person, by absentee ballot or directly from the comfort of your home from your personal computer. Our four annual auctions are scheduled during the months of March and September in Hannover and in April and November in San Francisco. In addition to our live and online sales, we are also offering posters through weekly online onlysales without any buyer's premium.Whether you are a novice or an established collector, we invite you to contact us if you have any questions about our auctions or are interested in buying or selling vintage posters. In addition to our auctions, we also maintain an extensive online gallery and sell at major antique and poster shows at the West Coast. We sell posters by appointment only in Clayton, California and at our gallery in Hannover, Germany. We are members of the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association (IVPDA).
