Shipping charges are exponentially higher than they should be a lot of times. I buy and sell and ship many items for my business and they are inflating the shipping charges and taking advantage of the needs of the buyer.

I asked for a condition report, and was told very good condition. There was considerable damage to the frame, all 4 corners cracked, and a piece of molding missing, that was not disclosed in the condition report. The payment process was a mess. I noticed the additional Live Auctioneers fee, and so attempted to call after receiving my invoice to pay over the phone. I was told that they do not take payment over the phone and that I must pay through Live Auctioneers. I then, using my iPhone 10, completed the payment information and clicked Pay Now. I thought it was paid for. I arranged with the shipper to pick up the following day. The next day, i got a message from the auction house that my shipper came to pick it up, but that he could not release it because it was not paid for. I checked my credit card and found out the payment did not process for some reason. I attempted to process again, online and it still did not work on Live Auctioneers. There seems to be a problem with your payment system. Again I called and asked if he would accept the Visa over the phone, but he would not. He said to call Live Auctioneers. I called, and got your horrible answering machine where no one ever seems to call back. I attempted to pay multiple times but your system did not work. The shipper was there to pick up again, but he could not release it. Then the live chat feature popped up as available on Live Auctioneers. That person did not know either, but asked what browser I was using, which was Safari (newest). I then tried Google Chrome, and it worked. I verified with the auctioneer and he released the painting. Your payment system did not work on either the iPhone browser or on an Apple Mac using the latest Safari browser. What a mess. That delayed my receiving the painting because he did not release it the first day the shipper went to pick it up. Very disappointed in this system.
