Lots 1001 - 1145 We are pleased to offer the estate of Edgar and Minta Holding Folk, long time residents and community leaders of Wake Forest, NC. Dr. Folk was a author and professor at Wake Forest College, specializing in Chaucer. Mrs. Folk, whose family (the Holdings) founded First Citizens Bank, was a premier dealer in fine antiques. Her professional eye for quality is reflected in the personal collection offered here. All of the items come directly from “South Brick House”, the Folk family home in Wake Forest. This splendid brick structure was built in 1837 by architect John Berry, whose other work includes the old Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough, NC.
