This outstanding single-owner sale is the second featuring this superb lifetime collection. Over 1,000 lots of quality Asian antiques and art objects are scheduled to cross the block, with emphasis focused on the arts and objects of Japan, where Ms. Eastman resided for more than 30 years. Sale highlights include a large collection of Japanese and other studio ceramics and pottery, fine art, a vast collection of rarely seen styles of tansu, porcelains, lacquer works, mingei folk art to suit even the most discerning tastes, and much more! Of special note is a superb collection of modernist works by Hachiro Iizuka (Japanese, born 1928), including "Coupons '69", a collaboration tome featuring Mr. Iizuka's art with poetry by Ms. Eastman.
