SPRING IMPORTANT ESTATE ASIAN ART AUCTION

This auction features nearly 300 lots of Chinese Art including painting, jade carving, porcelain, furniture, jewelry, Buddhist sculpture, and medal. Of note are some important Chinese collections from Canada estates. Those estates are from a previous Chinese General Tsai Tingkai (1892-1968) who in overall command of the 19th Route Army of the Republic of China?s National Revolutionary Army and other Chinese forces responsible for holding off the Imperial Japanese Army during the Shanghai War of 1932; and the Estate of Yick-Ho Wong (1923-2011), Hong Kong and Canada. Mr. Yick-Ho Wong (1923-2011) was a scholar, artist, and avid collector of Chinese painting and calligraphy; and Sear Hang Hwie Pao (1937-2009). Mr. Pao was one of Canada's leading dealers of Chinese porcelain and works of art. His antique store, Pao & Moltke Ltd., was a fixture in Toronto's trendy Yorkville area for over thirty years.
