The February 9th auction will showcase 19th and 20th century fine art, furniture and decorations reflecting the Louis XV and XVI revivals, Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Featured will be art glass by Galle, Lalique, Daum Freres, Barovier, Steuben and Quezal; porcelain such as Flora Danica, KPM and Meissen; art pottery by Rookwood and Weller; silver by Marie Zimmermann, Whiting, Tiffany & Co. and Georg Jensen; marble statues, bronzes, ivories, clocks, sconces, chandeliers and rugs. The selection of objects by Tiffany Studios features a bronze and Favrile glass ten-light Lily lamp, a bronze and leaded glass Spider lamp, various iridescent glass vases, candlesticks and bowls, as well as desk accessories in various patterns. A special section of the sale will be devoted to property from the estate of Tony-Award winning actress Dolores Gray, including two large oils on canvas depicting port scenes with ruins by a follower of Guardi. Furniture highlights include a Napoleon III gilt-bronze and porcelain mounted center table, a micromosaic diminutive side table decorated with views of Rome, a Louis XVI style side table by Paul Sormani, and an oak sideboard by Gustav Stickley.
