Section I: Fine Literature, Lots 1-211 Section II: Beats and the Counterculture, Lots 212-362 Section III: Illustrated Books, Lots 363-434 Over 400 lots of fine literature and ephemera, featuring a large section of scarce works from the counterculture and the Beat Generation, as well as a section of wonderfully illustrated volumes. The sale includes a number or rare and signed works by John Steinbeck, Ray Bradbury, Tony Hillerman and Stephen King. The Beat/Counterculture section includes a number of scarce works by the likes of Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg and Richard Brautigan, as well as a rare early Black Sparrow Press broadside by Charles Bukowski.. Also present is a good assortment of posters and ephemera from the San Francisco music scene of the 60's and ephemera from the Punk scenes of the 70s, 80s, and beyond. Among the illustrated books are signed editions from Arthur Rackham, early Mickey Mouse titles in their original jackets, and a limited finely bound edition of H.R. Giger's Necronomicon.
