Santa Monica Auctions Summer Fine Art Auction

SANTA MONICA AUCTIONS is holding a Modern and Contemporary Art Auction on Sunday, June 6th, starting at 1pm at Bergamot Station Arts Center. For over 25 years, Santa Monica Auctions has been continuously offering important works for both the beginning art buyer as well as the most sophisticated connoisseur. Santa Monica Auctions feature the work of both mid-career and established artists of all mediums including modern and contemporary painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, multiples and prints. Over the past few years we have received record prices for works by Ruscha, Pettibon, and Warhol as well as having incredible deals for works of this high quality by local-known California artists. Highlighted in the sale will be the Keith Haring homage to Andy Warhol entitled Andy Mouse, a silkscreen created in 1986 and signed by both artists. Silkscreens by Warhol, including Electric Chair from 1971 will also be offered. Additional works by Robert Rauschenberg, Christo, Takashi Murakami, Robert Graham, Ed Ruscha, Raymond Pettibon and many more will be auctioned. Unlike other auction houses, SANTA MONICA AUCTIONS will take significant works for consignment right up until the date of the sale so there are always last-minute surprises. Live previews are ongoing now in our D5 gallery and our catalogue can be viewed online on our website at www.smauctions.com We look forward seeing you at the Sale on Sunday, Juen 6th at 1pm and continuing all afternoon.
