With over 1,100 individual lots, this outstanding two-day sale features the Dr. James F. Cooper lifetime collection of Imperial Russian treasures on Day One. Over 225 icons including many quality early examples, rare subjects, signed examples and many with spectacular silver-gilt and shaded enamel riza by Ruckert, Ovchinnikov and others, over 100 pieces of Russian silver and enamel featuring exquisite works by all the major makers, over a dozen pieces of Faberge, over 40 pieces of Russian porcelain including the Imperial Porcelain Factory, Popov, Gardner and Kuznetsov and over three dozen pieces of Imperial Russian militaria will all be sold. Also original works by celebrated Russian artists such as Bilibin, Sudeikin, Burliuk, Zvorykin and others. Day Two features important American and European Fine Art and an impressive private collection of Asian works, including over 50 pieces of carved jade and Oriental decorative arts.
