Sports Memorabilia, Session One
Hindman’s June sports memorabilia auction is our largest to date, offered between two sessions on June 6 and 7. Session One on June 6 features a wide selection of quality trading cards across all major sports. Among the highlights are a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card and a fresh-to-hobby complete run of Topps baseball card sets beginning with the 1957 issue. Additional trading card highlights include multiple signed Donruss Diamond Kings, a 2001 Upper Deck Tiger Woods signed Sign Of The Times numbered of 65, a large group of unopened Kobe Bryant rookie-era material and many standout rookie cards including those of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Joe Namath and Walter Payton.
Session Two on June 7 is led by an unrivaled presentation of rare air – A Nike Air Jordan 1 silver cast basketball shoe and Wilson baseball glove both commissioned for Michael Jordan’s 32nd birthday. Additional Jordan highlights include a team signed 1996 NBA Finals Chicago Bulls locker room sign as well as a pair of original 1985 Nike Air Jordan 1 store-display shoes. Other sports are well represented in Session Two including a 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl XX salesman’s sample championship ring crafted to the size of William “The Refrigerator Perry†and an extraordinary collection of Muhammad Ali training worn artifacts made expressly for The Greatest.
