Join us for a special two-day Mid-Week at Stair that showcases a mix of traditional furniture and decorative arts complemented by a selection of modern and contemporary fine art. The sale features a collection of furnishings from an interior designed by Roger Jones of Colefax & Fowler which includes a selection of finely curated furniture, paintings, decorations and rugs. Highlights from this collection include elegant and rustic country English furniture, a large Northern European School exotic bird painting, and a charming pair of floral watercolors in French mats and gilt frames. Beautifully upholstered seat furniture in a variety of fabrics with typical Colefax & Fowler attention to detail and comfort are also included. Another interior highlighted in the sale was designed by the New York firm Parish-Hadley in the mid-1970s for the Rockefeller family. Highlights include faux-painted low tables, chintz-upholstered furniture, a Regency style bookcase and an unusual pair of English chinoiserie decorated pedestals. Other highlights in the sale include outdoor furniture, table wares and Asian works of art, as well as property from collections and estate property including Property from the Collection of the late Douglas S. Cramer, the Estate of Don F. Gaston, Greenwich CT, Property Formerly Doris Gottlieb Brickner and Dr. Manuel Gottlieb, and Property from the Collection of Thomas Jayne.
