Summer Modern & Contemporary Art

As the end of summer grows ever near, John Moran Auctioneers is pleased to announce its annual Summer Modern & Contemporary fine art auction to be held Tuesday 30th at 12:00 PM PST in Monrovia, California. Highlights of the sale include a unique Andy Warhol screenprint portrait of John Wayne, consigned to auction by the estate of the late actor?s daughter. Other fresh-to-market works include The Linemen by Ernie Barnes, a strong example of the action-packed sports painting that Barnes painted for much of his career. This auction features prints, paintings, and works on paper by a diverse group of European and American artists, such as Milton Avery, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Phillip Pearlstein, Hassel Smith, Fernand Leger, and many more.
