September Stamps - 4-DAY Auction - DAY 3/4
Oakwood Auctions is proud to announce its "September Stamps & Coins- 4-DAY Auction" starting September 15 to September 18. Each day will begin at 11:00am EST.
There will be a great offering of philatelic material, and every collector or dealer will find something of interest. There will be quality Canada, US, Great Britain, and British Commonwealth collections/accumulations, as well as rarer singles, accompanied by many other countries, including a fantastic collection of China Local Post.
DAY 1 - (Lots 1-500) will contain coins/banknotes/supplies, Rest of the World from Africa to worldwide collections. There will be better offerings of Denmark, France and Colonies, Germany and States, Italy, and Luxembourg.
DAY 2 - (Lots 501-1050) will contain Rest of the World, from Poland to Yugoslavia, and British Commonwealth from Aden to Turks & Caicos. There are some great collections/accumulations from Russia, South America, Sweden, and quite strong in Switzerland. Commonwealth is highlighted by Australia and States, Bermuda including a 1930 #95a 2sh 6p Pale Orange Vermillion and Black, Grey-Blue MLH, and much more.
DAY 3 - (Lots 1051-1554) will contain Canada from First Pence to Face Value, including early Canada and Newfoundland proofs/specimens, Great Britain collections/accumulations, including 1929 Imprimateurs, quality mint Victoria, highlighted by a mint 1877 Vertical Pair of the 5 Pound Telegraph Colour Trial.
DAY 4 - (Lots 1555-1957) will be very exciting as it contains China Locals and USA. In the Locals collection there are some rare imperf in-betweens, inverted surcharges, larger multiples, and more. The US section contains many collections/accumulations, as well as better singles including original gum examples of the 1847 #1 5c Red Brown, as well as the 1893 #245 $5 Black.
