Everard Auctions is please to present the personal collection of John and Virginia Duncan. The contents of the Duncan’s home, the historic Thomas-Levy House overlooking Savannah’s Monterey Square is being offered in a once in a lifetime two session auction that will showcase over 70 years of collecting. The Second Empire Baroque style home was a fitting residence for historian, author and retired history professor John Duncan and his wife Ginger, who cofounded V and J Duncan Antique Maps, Prints and Books in Savannah in 1983. Most items featured in the auction are of Southern interest and include wonderful collections of antique maps, natural history prints, engravings, books, pottery, hand carved folk art walking sticks, exotic curiosities, ethnographic art, American furniture and Southern fine art.
