John Albert Clark established Clark Art in Raleigh in 1923 as a picture framing business. After World War II the business transitioned to the second generation, Doris Clark Walker and Owen Walker Jr. Clark Art began offering contemporary traditional oil paintings and prints. In the 1970s, the third generation, Owen Walker III, added to the contemporary oils with antique oil paintings, antique watercolor paintings, and fine art hand-produced antique prints. In Mr. Walker's words: "After 88 years of serving our friends - it is time to retire." Please plan to join us and fellow collectors for this auction to celebrate a Raleigh art gallery legacy and take a special piece home for your collection.
