The Old Barn is pleased to offer at auction February 11, 2012 "SELECT ITEMS" from the collection of the late Earl Townsend of Indianapolis, Indiana. This Townsend material was purchased from Mr. Townsend in 2005 when he first started dispersing his fantastic collection. This is some of the finest Townsend material to come to market so far. In addition to the Townsend material, this sale will also contain items from the late C.C. Hood Collection from Knoxville, TN, Part II, select pieces from Parker Melvin of Cincinnati Ohio, Bill Rowlett of Lafe Arkansas, a nice group of artifacts from an Eastern Institution, plus several other nice local consignments. Cowan's collection was pictured in Who's Who #3 and 5. It includes many fine artifacts from the Eastern United States including stone, spades and lots of flint. Parker Melvin collection includes several large flint and pottery from the Southern Ohio Valley. Many items are pictured in Who's Who #2. Pottery from the Bill Rowlett collection will be included in this early 2012 auction. There will be approximately 543 lots for the beginner to the most advanced collector. There is a 13% BUYER'S PREMIUM FOR ALL INTERNET BIDDING. All items will be laid out by February 2, 2012.
