Including the Fred Sinfield (1938-2008) Eclectic Collection of Silver and Gold Boxes Fred was a passionate silver collector throughout his life. He gained knowledge and analytical skills in the field, developing a keen interest in silver boxes. In collecting, he paid great attention to design, function, type of material and very importantly, the quality of craftsmanship. Fred?s interest was wide-ranging, collecting items from around the works and he would go on to develop an eclectic collection. Fred was a freelance researcher, author and photographer based in Australia. He was an active member of The Silver Society of Australia, having written various articles.
