Historic Tarboro, NC On-Site Estate Auction
We are pleased to present at public auction the Estate of Mr. & Mrs. Zelaney, of Tarboro, NC, having owned and lived at the Historic "Barracks" for over 20 years. The Barracks, named for a Revolutionary War camp on its site, was built for William S. Battle in 1858 by noted North Carolina architect William Percival, who also designed New West on the UNC campus. Situated on what were the antebellum outskirts of Tarboro, the Barracks is an imposing Italianate villa befitting the economic and social prominence of the Battle Family.
The Zelaney Estate antique auction will take place under tents on the front lawn. The catalogued auction will start at 10am and items will be sold in numerical catalogued order. After the completion of the catalogue, we will be selling many nice uncatalogued items to live, on-site bidders. We invite you to attend this landmark auction and enjoy Historic Tarboro, NC.
