On Saturday November 18th at Clars Auction, we are excited to offer many pieces at accessible prices. Our Furniture & Decorative Arts Department features antique and modern furniture including several Chippendale style slant front desk and an Art Deco china cabinet, as well as collectible carpets. Decorative section includes books, English and Meissen porcelains, bronze sculptures, toys, sterling hollow and flatware Our Art Department will includ- several paintings California modernist Helen Dunham, whose color-and-line compositions evoke the playfulness of Paul Klee, a mixed-media portrait by Arthur Secunda, and a series of prints by American Pop artist Red Grooms. Also included in the sale are prints by Native American artists from the Pacific Northwest, figural sculptures, a variety of California landscape painting. On offer this month from the Asian Art department are a set of eight woodblock prints by Kono Bairei from his Book of Birds and Flowers series, a Japanese red coral carving of the lucky god Jurojin, a collection of Chinese jadeite carvings, and various Chinese export porcelain articles from the Ming to Qing dynasties.
