Home & Heritage

Home & Heritage is an exciting addition to Lyon & Turnbull?s Spring 2024 auction schedule. Our March auction features furniture, paintings and works of art from three fascinating historic homes, including the Georgian Penicuik House and the Aberdeenshire castle Towie Barclay. Penicuik House and Towie Barclay represent two iconic periods of the Scottish country home. Sitting just outside of Edinburgh, Penicuik House was one of the earliest and most impressive examples of Palladian architecture in Scotland. Traveling north, Towie Barclay in Aberdeenshire is an enchanting example of a fortified tower house, dating from the mid-16th century and the ancestral home of the Barclay clan.
