Paintings & Fine Works On Paper

Preston Hall's April auction will feature oil paintings, drawings, watercolors, and other fine works on paper. Highlights will include several pastels by Joan Mitchell as well as a Mitchell watercolor and pastel, a sensational drawing attributed to Vincent van Gogh, a group of drawings by John Angus Chamberlain, original lithographs by Matisse, Klee, Bonnard, Derain, and others, a selection of drawings by Gene Davis direct from a private collection, a large pencil drawing by Andy Warhol, early Soviet School watercolors and drawings, three watercolors attributed to Abraham van Velde consigned by a pivate collector whose family acquired the pieces more than 30 years ago, a wonderful collection of German "outsider" art by Johann Hauser, three works by Jean Michel Basquiat, and more.
