20th Century PhotoGravures and Prints - Day 1

This auction concentrates on photogravures created and printed in the 1900s. Though some of the photographers overlap there are also a number of new artists and photojournalists. Some of these are of course as famous as the old masters, others are unknown outside a small circle. The images as always are superb and creative, We have also a category for Ephemera (mechanical prints) (paper printed outside the gravure process) Almost all our prints are mounted on standard size, conservation mat-board to help stabilize and protect them. They can be framed in standard size frames as is, or matted if preferred. Our prints are sourced from vintage, 20th century publications unless otherwise noted (folios, compilations, monographs, art publications etc....) Lots are categorized 001-099 - portraits 100-249 - people 250-400 - scenics and nature 550-799 - nudes 800 up - ephemera/ mechanical prints
