Fine Decorative Asian & Western Art Sale

Waterford’s Fine Decorative Asian & Western Art Sale on Saturday, October 25, at 11 am, will include 249 lots of Asian and 50 lots of Western artworks. Asian lots include paintings, bronzes, snuff bottles, Peking glass, ceramics, cloisonné, and jades from China, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, and Japan. Of particular significance are a painting of a French Tribute Dog by Qing court painter Yong Tai, a rare and large Chinese Ming dynasty jade duck, Chinese Qianlong Blue Peking Glass Vase and Jar, a Ming Dynasty Imperial Yellow Porcelain Shadow Bowl, several South East Asian bronze Buddhas, a Japanese cloisonné jar by Namikawa Yasuyuki, and an array of Japanese Satsuma ware by Yabu Meizan. Noteworthy European and American items include Murano glass, a Bernard de Hoog oil painting, a Cosgrove & Pratt Eight Days Jade Clock, a French Singing Bird Cage Automaton, a Victorian Thomas Prime Silver Dessert Service and German Sitzendorf Porcelain Statues.
