Asian, Islamic and Indonesian Art Sale

Waterford?s Art and Antiques Auctioneers? Asian, Islamic and Indonesian Art Sale will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2014 beginning at 11 AM EST. The sale will include 195 lots of Asian and 55 lots of Islamic and Indonesian fine and decorative art. Asian lots include paintings, bronzes, Peking glass, ceramics, cloisonné, and jades from China, Japan, and South-east Asia. Of particular significance are a pair of 18th century Yuqing Tang cloisonné gu, an 18th or 19th century Mogul celadon jade covered hu, a Qianlong mark and period yellow porcelain dragon bowl, and several Japanese Edo period ukiyo-e woodblock prints. Islamic lots include bronzes, ceramics, textiles, silver and wood pieces. Of particular significance is an 18th century Ottoman Kilij, a 19th century Persian tile panel and an 18th century Persian lacquer box. Indonesian lots include batiks, ikats and sari.
