New Orleans Auction March Sale: Day 2 of 3

New Orleans Auction Galleries is proud to present the inaugural sale in our new, expanded location. The three-day sale features property from Glenridge Hall, Sandy Springs, Georgia; The Estate of Evelyn and T. L. Wilson, Houston, Texas; The Estate of Reuben "Buzz" Harper, Natchez, Mississippi; The Collection of Naomi Damonte Marshall, New Orleans, Louisiana; and the Library of William Pfaff, New Orleans, Louisiana. Among the offerings will be a selection of fine 19th century American furniture, antique and estate jewelry, an extensive array of antique garden furnishings, an important selection of English silver, a collection of antique Oriental carpets, and rare books including Benjamin Franklin imprints and Charles Dickens first editions. The fine art offerings will include works by Francesco Ballesio, Felix Baudin, Frederick Goodall, El Lissitzky, Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, Jean Arnould Heyermans, Dana Bartlett, Fritz Wagner, Max Friedrich Rabes and a garland painting attributed to Cornelius Schut and Daniel Seghers. Also featured will be noted regional artists such as William Aiken Walker, Achile Perelli, George Rodrigue, Ida Kohlmeyer, Lin Emery and George Dunbar, with an important work by Texas artist Melvin Charles Warren.
