This April Wright presents Professor BJ Sears' Technological Rarities at auction. For the first time at auction, this select collection of eleven artworks features an array of fantastical machines which fuse modern technologies with inventions of the past. A celebrated film editor and professor at Savannah College of Art and Design, BJ Sears united his love of invention and passion for history in the creation of these elaborate sculptures. Highlights from this unique auction include the Electrophonic Anacroscope a machine for exploring time travel, an elaborate Periscope complete with Leyden jars and digital screens, and the Muybridge Experiment a sculptural homage to the motion-picture pioneer.
