Treadway and Toomey Galleries are proud to announce an outstanding auction featuring 20th Century Design taking place December 4, in Chicago. This 1100 lot sale encompasses Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, American and European Paintings and Modern design. The morning session consists of Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau objects highlighting an outstanding collection of ceramics including early Van Briggle, Newcomb College, decorated Marblehead ,Teco, Paul Revere, Rozane Della Robbia, Dedham, Rookwood and Grueby. Furniture from Gustav Stickley, L&JG Stickley and Limbert., Woodblocks by Gustave Baumann, several Tiffany lamps, Handel, Pairpoint and Jefferson. Quezal, Wheatley, Charles Catteau, Longwy, Dalpayrat, Bigot, Sevres, Massier, Royal Doulton, Denbac, Zsolnay, Mougin, Rozenburg, Greber, Taxile Doat, Delaherche, Mettlach, Jean Carriés, Mayodon, Haviland and Amphora, as well as a selection of Oriental rugs. The Art Nouveau selection is highlighted by a Tiffany Studios window with a landscape titled “River of Life”, 49.5” x 38”, made in 1918. Other glass include Daum and G. Argy-Rousseau, along with graphics of the period.

The Second Session of the day consists of American and European paintings, prints, drawings and photographs by such artists as Charles Warren Eaton.
